Could Germany have won World War II? Yes. After the fact, the Allied victory seemed inevitable. And yet there were several crucial decision points that determined the outcome. Many of these were political and some were military. Much of it had to do with Hitler’s opponents – Chamberlain, Churchill, Roosevelt, and Stalin. This course examines how their decisions, and the nature of their countries, shaped events to prevent a German victory and bring about Hitler’s suicide and defeat in 1945.
