As the name suggests, Science and Culture: A Creative Interplay is an eclectic tour of the many surprising connections between science, music, the visual and literary arts and other cultural currents from the Early Renaissance to our present time. Many key scientific and mathematical ideas will be presented but no background in science is either expected or needed (but it might help!). The focus will be on the persons behind the ideas and how they were not only shaped by the culture of the day, but also how they helped change that culture.
