25 Years Of Class
25 Years of Learning and Community
For 25 years, the Edmonton Lifelong Learners Association (ELLA) has been enriching the lives of Edmontonians aged 50 and over through the joy of lifelong learning. Founded in 2001 by a dedicated group of volunteers, ELLA has grown from a small community of passionate learners into a thriving organization offering hundreds of expert-led courses spanning the arts, sciences, humanities, and more. Entirely volunteer-run and committed to keeping learning accessible and affordable, ELLA has touched the lives of thousands of mature adults across Edmonton — fostering curiosity, connection, and community for a quarter century.
Our 25th Anniversary booklet outlines the journey through many of the challenges and triumphs of ELLA’s history. Our members and instructors share the place ELLA holds in their lives.
