ELLA Bursaries for Winter Session 2025

Learning without limits.

Bursary Page

ELLA is committed to improving access to courses for members with financial limitations. Approved individuals will be eligible for a free annual membership and a bursary of $80 to be used for Winter Session registration and $200 to be used towards Spring Session registration. Interested individuals must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Receipt of Alberta Seniors Benefit (65 and over)
  • AISH and Income Supports (under 65)
  • Subsidized Community Housing as administered by the Government of Alberta, or
  • Subsidized Edmonton Transit Pass for the current year.

ELLA continues to offer bursaries for 2025!

Thanks to ELLA donors, bursaries will be available to cover membership and registration costs. 

Approved applicants will receive a free membership for the current year and will only have to pay a fee of $50 to register for a bundle of one or two courses. For 3 or 4 course bundles there will be a $200 discount off the total.

Applications will be available on the ELLA website between March 24, 2025 and April 23, 2025.

To qualify, applicants need to provide evidence of receiving one of the following as evidence of financial limitation:

  • Alberta Seniors Benefit
  • AISH or Income supports (for adults under 65)
  • Government of Alberta subsidized community housing (seniors lodges or apartments)
  • Subsidized Edmonton Transit pass for the current year
