Zumba Gold® is an exercise format designed for active older adults, as well as beginning exercisers and folks recovering from injury/illness. Class starts with a thorough warmup (waking up the body and getting all muscles and joints ready for movement), followed by a continuous playlist of catchy global rhythms like merengue, salsa, Cumbia, bellydance, flamenco, tango, soca, reggaeton, bhangra and more. Balance work is always incorporated in the class before ending with a cooldown/stretch. The class feels like a dance party, but participants get a well-rounded workout (cardio, balance, strength and toning) that leaves them smiling and refreshed.

Instructor: Sheela Hota-Mitchell
