Fall prevention – this is the course you have been waiting for! How do you decrease the chance of falling? What is the proper way to get up after a fall? Learn to increase your strength and balance using minimal equipment to decrease the chance of severe injury from a fall. Half the class will teach you why it is important to stay functionally fit, how to decrease pain, and how to prevent falling. The other half of the class will be implementing physical exercises into your daily routine, turning theory into reality. Functional fitness is the backbone of fall prevention. All fitness levels are welcome – modifications will be made for every exercise to accommodate for knee and hip issues, back pain, and any other physical issues you may have. A kitchen chair, some dumbbells, and a massage ball are the only tools you will need to fight back against the aging body.
