“The aim of yoga is to calm the chaos of conflicting impulses. After a session yoga, the mind becomes tranquil and passive.” These are words from the world’s greatest Yogi, B.K.S. Iyengar. This is my experience and that of many men and women in my classes. Move the body in a gentle way and at the same time find the resistance that engages and strengthens. In doing so we create a balance and a stability. This can occur in the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of ourselves as we continue our practice. I invite you to come with me to the basics of yoga starting with breath awareness and allowing it to lead us into movement.
