This course teaches you to see the world through a kid’s eyes. Combine your inner child with your writing self to create beloved children’s stories. Author Marty Chan reveals the key to capturing the imagination of young readers. He’ll reveal how to engage, entertain and educate kids through stories. In addition to mapping out the basics of writing for kids, Marty will identify the different types of children’s literature and the needs of each genre. Marty Chan writes books for kids, stage plays for adults, and social media posts for fun. He has published 25 books including the bestselling young adult novel Haunted Hospital, the award-winning Mystery of the Graffiti Ghoul and his newest novel Izzy Wong’s Nose for News. He has served as writer-in-residence for the Edmonton Public Library and the Citadel Theatre. He works and lives in Edmonton with his wife Michelle and their cats Minnie and Hugo.
