Lougheed College Lectures – 2018 Fall Series

Be informed, challenged, and inspired by local, national, and international leaders from government, business, academica, and the cultural and nonprofit sectors. The Lougheed College Lectures present exceptional speakers from interdisciplinary backgrounds. They will share their perspectives and insights on the leadership needed to face the complex challenges of the 21st century.

SENIORS TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM

University of Alberta Technology Training Centre (B-11 Cameron Library Basement, University of Alberta)
1-4 p.m. on various dates
$25/class

The University of Alberta Technology Training Centre is launching a new seniors program. They are hosting Wednesday afternoon sessions where seniors can learn about technology. The first four topics are:

  • September 12: Introduction to Cellphones
  • September 26: Taking Pictures with Your Phone
  • October 17: Transfer Pictures from Phone to Computer
  • October 31: Online Personal Security
Seniors are welcome to take one or as many sessions as they are interested in. The teaching component will be 1-1.5 hours long with plenty of time to ask questions and enjoy some free refreshments.
