In this class you will learn everything you need to know to participate in a game of bridge, either at home or at a bridge club. Starting with introductory concepts and game objectives, you will move through a curriculum that includes hand evaluation, scoring, the bidding messages, requirements for opening the bidding and responding, rebids by opener and responder, and guidelines for play and defence. Students will learn concepts and immediately apply them through the play of the hand.

Instructor:  Allan Terplawy

Allan Terplawy is a trained and experienced bridge teacher and player as well as an ACBL (American Contract Bridge League)-accredited instructor and director. He has taught many classes at the Edmonton Bridge Centre and at home. He directs a weekly game at the Marie Perry Bridge Club and occasionally directs at the South Side Duplicate Bridge Club in Lendrum. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Edmonton Bridge Centre (over 140 members). He welcomes the opportunity to teach and mentor those who are interested in learning the game of bridge or helping those who would like to improve their level of play, all in a fun, learning environment.
