We’ll explore the music of nature and the works of Holst in The Planets. Fun Mondays are back, and you won’t want to miss out on the fascinating topic of synesthesia. Other topics: early music, jazz, sacred music. By the end of the course, you will have an increased awareness of the vast variety of music that is just waiting to be experienced. This course is designed for both the hardcore music lover and the music novice. It is for anyone who wants to learn more about music! Classes are video and audio based; we listen to a wide range of music. Classes are not consecutive; each class is completely different, with a fresh new topic.

Rebecca Schellenberg has been a music educator for over 30 years. Since obtaining a Master of Music degree from the University of Alberta, Rebecca has taught at MacEwan University, adjudicated at music festivals around the province, and conducted numerous violin master classes. She has played with chamber ensembles from string quartets to The McDade’s Celtic band and has performed with orchestras including the Edmonton, Regina, Kelowna and Prince George symphonies.
