Science emerges from the complex interplay between culture, history and the often-fascinating lives of the scientists who spawned these ideas. In this eclectic course we will explore some of the key ideas of western science and how these were both shaped by and in turn shaped the culture from which they emerged. No science background is required but we will develop some of the science as we go along!
